Bevor ich zur Gitarre komme, hier die Kurzbeschreibung von Fender über ihren neuen Principal Masterbuilder RON THORN:

Ron Thorn brings decades of expertise in guitar luthiery, namely inlay work, to the Fender Custom Shop. Thorn’s relationship with the Fender Custom Shop team stems from his wildly successful inlay business, Thorn Inlay — which has been the sole inlay provider for the Fender Custom Shop since the mid-90s. He’s built more than 800 custom instruments under the name Thorn Guitars, and will now build exclusively for Fender Custom Shop effective immediately. Thorn is among the first to assume the title Principal Master Builder — one of the highest honors at the Shop and in the guitar building community.

Das ist die erste Gitarre, die von Ron nach Deutschland geschickt wurde - ich kann gar nicht sagen, wie gespannt ich war, als ich den Koffer geöffnet habe. ...optisch ist sie auf Augenhöhe mit Dale Wilson und John Cruz - in der Hand liegt sie wie eine Alte , und der Sound? Fender hat mit Recht Ron Thorn ohne wenn und aber als Principal Master Builder einestellt. Etwas mehr "dirtyness" als bei Dale, etwas mehr Definiton als bei einer John... dieser Tele von Ron wird nicht die letzte sein, die bei mir im Laden steht - sie überzeugt vom ersten Moment.
