To further the guitar's vintage-inspired tone and aesthetic, we've made available a custom wraparound tailpiece (optional) that's been designed to deliver unsurpassed dynamic range and improved intonation up the neck.

Our goal for the I-30 LC was to take the concept of a double cutaway, fully-hollow, P90 equipped guitar and refine it to the extent that it offers something truly new for today's players. The result is one of the most acoustically responsive and versatile electric guitars we have ever offered.
The lightweight, "trestle" braced body of the I-30 LC has been refined through extensive R&D, and is the distillation of knowledge gleaned from our popular I-35 and Statesman LC series. The trestle brace design directly couples the neck and tail block, creating exceptional strength and acoustical energy transference, while also allowing for a lightness and responsiveness that is both a tactile and musical joy to experience.
Playing the I-30 LC, you can easily feel the acoustic energy travel through thesymmetric arches and re-curves of the top and back. These plates have been custom laminated and voiced for a tonality that is acoustic guitar-like in its resonance and dynamic response, but focused and feedback resistant enough to be utilized in jazz, blues, rock n' roll and many other styles. Our new custom designed trapeze tailpiece provides just the right amount of "give" for a relaxed string feel and effortless playability.
Lollar Dog Ear P90s are perfectly matched to the instrument's acoustic response and offer a wide palette of tones from rich jazzy warmth to 1960's British Invasion style chime. Drawing its inspiration from both classic electric designs and our own previous models, the I-30 LC is an exciting step forward and an intriguing new Collings sound.

When crafting instrumentsdesigned to be used electrically at higher volumes, the resonant qualities of aguitar need a high degree of focus to achieve some of the classic semi-hollowguitar tones. The I-35 LC is the first of a line of laminate instruments designed to respond acoustically in perfect harmony with their electronics. Custom crafted in house for each guitar, the Collings laminate line has provided another unique way for us to voice our instruments for superior response and tone. The I-35 LC features a custom laminate maple top, sides and back and an all mahogany neck. The I-35 LC is among our most articulate and versatile electric models.

Tolle Anprache, hohe Tonkultur - sowohl Clean als auch mit Gain. Hervorragende Bespielbarkeit, sehr stimmig - und in dieser Ausführung mit leicht gealterer Hardware und Lack..... Eine Gitarre, die man gar nicht mehr aus der Hand legen möchte.

....The I35 Deluxe combines our most premium features with a rich and harmonically complex sound of all solid wood construction. As part of of its trim package, the dark textures of the I-35 Deluxe's rosewood fingerboardand ebony faceplate are highlighted by ivoroid fingerboard and peghead binding. Each Deluxe series guitar is also fitted with ivoroid "top hat" knobs and pickup rings that are hand made in house solely for this series of instruments. Uncompromising in every feature, the I-35 Deluxe is built for the discerning electric guitarist.
..Diese I35 ist somit aus massiven Hölzern gebaut. Für die Decke wurde noch die Zusatzoption "quilted maple" gewählt. Diese Collings hat nur minimale Spielspuren - keine Dongs oder Kratzer.
Der aktuelle Neupreis liegt in dieser Ausstattung bei 8.100 Euro. Da es sich um Kommissionsware handelt ist keine Mehrwertsteuer ausweisbar.

....With a 15" lower bout and hand-carved solid wood construction, the I-35 is a unique modern tribute to the heritage of the doubl cutaway semi-hollow electric guitar. The I-35's design pairs a mahogany back and sides with a maple center center block for a tonal response that is complex and quick, with an "airy" character.
The I-35's top carve includes high arches and ample re-curve, allowing the best qualities of the solid wood to shine though in its amplified tone. An instrument that is at home in almost any genre, the Collings I-35 has quickly become one of our most popular electric models.
..Die Decke der I35 ist somit aus massivem Ahorn geschnitzt. Gegenüber der I35 LC - also dem Schwestermodell mit laminierter Decke - ist der Ton etwas "dicker", er hat mehr Holz. Ich möchte dies in keinem Fall in der Katergorie "besser oder schlechter" verstanden wissen. Man muß die beiden Modelle unbedingt im Vergleich spielen - erst dann wird die individuelle Ausprägung deutlich. Um trotzdem einen Anhaltspunkt zu geben: Je Cleaner die Tonvorliebe ist, desto eher würde ich in Richunng "massive Decke" empfehlen, je mehr "dirtyness" im Ton gewünscht ist - dann die LC
