Although Avalon will always be related to Lowden and named in one single breath, they have certainly made a name for themselves and created a unique identity. Avalon guitars are instantly recognisable by their use of bridge pins instead of a string-through bridge, creating a bit more what would be best reffered to as 'americana tone' without losing the mysterious, deep, Celtic 'piano-like' character.
This Auditoruem-size uses a combination of Indian Rosewood and Spruce soundboard deliver a strong rich deep tone with punchy trebles. This robust pairing of woods creates a guitar that is perfect for heavy strumming and flat–picking without compromising the lighter aspects of finger–picking.
